Well experienced electricians are far-better than a not so experience one. Having a good electrician check your house regularly is not a bad idea.

There is some solid information in this post. I enjoy your writing. I've added this blog to my Google Reader RSS subscriptions and will continue reading your work. I did have an issue with how fast this post loaded. Might be a problem to optimize.

House Rewiring is something you either love or hate doing . If its done right there will be very little mess .
I would arrive a week before the job starts and see if there is any breakables that could be put away . Its also a good idea to have a good think as to were you want your sockets ect i always think its better looking at them than for them, if you have sockets behind lockers or hidden behind tables and furniture you might think of putting in some general use ones that you can get at . Any way back to the mess issue .I have rewired hundreds of houses and the only way to avoid mess is clean as you go . I would ask your electrician does he intent to be there all week or will he skip off for a day hear and there . as a guide a 3 bedroom house should take no more than 5 - 6 days to complete .dont forget to call me if you need a quote.

I have a question for you Barry, what is involved in rewiring a house? I guess it's a very messy job?
Also, tell me about the new energy rating of homes that is coming into Ireland soon (if not already here).

Thanks,
Old Father Time.
